James Telford

Senior Physiotherapist / Company Director

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

James graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. James' interests include treating sporting injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions as well as injury prevention and strength and conditioning.

Utilizing a wide range of biomechanical assessment techniques to diagnose musculoskeletal disorders / diseases hands on manual therapy, exercise programs and massage as well as some alternative therapies including kinesio taping, cupping and dry needling to assist patients recover and achieve their goals. James has worked with a number of the local sporting clubs in the area including;

  • Melbourne Heart FC in their inaugural A-League season (member of the massage and recovery team)
  • Macleod Football and Netball Club
  • Heidelberg United Soccer Club (men’s and women’s)
  • Ivanhoe Cricket Club
  • Skylark Circus
  • Fitmoto

James not only enjoys helping people feel better and achieve the most and has over the years spent many hours as a patient in this very clinic with various sporting injuries. James’ other interests include football (which he now plays locally for Macleod football club), cycling, golf, running and weights training in the gym.

Len Giles

Senior Physiotherapist

Bachelor Applied Science in Physiotherapy, Grad Dip. Of Sports Physio

As Director of the practice, Len has over 32 years Physiotherapy experience, with 28 years in private practice. He is married with 3 children and lives locally.

As a Physiotherapist he brings his many years of experience to assessment, treatment and management of both sporting injuries and general orthopaedic conditions (sore neck, back, knee etc). Len has post graduate qualifications in Sports Physiotherapy and extensive experience with local sporting clubs including

  • Doncaster Football Club
  • Banyule Football Club
  • Banyule Cricket Club
  • Heidelberg Football Club

Len has previously competed in Triathlons over many seasons and has completed 9 marathon runs. He still enjoys a regular early morning run. Len's other interests include golf, scuba diving, fishing and the occasional glass of red wine!

Nicholas Quinn


Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) (Fontys Netherlands)

Nick graduated from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, born and raised in Melbourne, Nick lived in Europe for 5 years following/pursuing a career in football and after achieving his Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) returned to Australia.

Nick brings a wide variety of international clinical experience to HPC having completed extended internships in Australia (including HPC), The Netherlands, UK and Norway as well as experience in high performance sport.

Nicholas’ professional interests involve biomechanical assessment, sports injury rehabilitation and exercise prescription and aims to help improve the physical function of his patients in combination with the treatment of specific injuries.

Personally, Nicholas is an avid sportsman and is currently playing football (AFL) for Old Carey in the VAFA, whilst also maintaining a keen interest in cycling, surfing, weightlifting and running.

Nick has worked in the local sporting community with clubs including Rosanna Cricket club and is currently head of Strength and Conditioning at Heidelberg United FC

Rachel Crosbee

Senior Physiotherapist

Grad. Dip Physiotherapy (Nottingham UK)

Rachel has over 24 years of experience in Physiotherapy, 17+ years of which in private practice in the UK. She has a special interest in treating sporting injuries in children, shoulder problems and headaches.

Experienced in a wide range of manual techniques and dry needling as a result of extensive post graduate training. Rachel aims to help patients to recover in the shortest possible time and to prevent recurrence.

Rachel competed in canoe slalom for Great Britain at Olympic level and worked as a physiotherapist for the GB Canoe slalom development squad helping to set up their screening programme.

She also worked part time in the Scottish Institute of sport helping with screening and treatment of elite and developmental athletes in Scotland.

Rachel has recently moved to Australia and is now busy with 2 active and sporty children, fitting in exercise such as mountain biking, canoeing and running when time allows.

Alexi Florez-Longinidis


Kia Centonze

Sports Therapist

Adv. Dip of Sports Therapy

Kia graduated Australian College of Sports Therapy in 2016 with an Advance Diploma of Sports Therapy. Before joining HPC she has worked with local sporting clubs including Macleod Football club and Plenty Valley Superules. She has also volunteered her time at other sporting events including Melbourne marathon and run Melbourne.

As a Sports therapist Kia uses techniques such as massage and corrective exercises to reduce pain, prevent and manage sporting injuries and assess and treat dysfunction in order to get her clients back to their optimum physical health and performance. Other techniques Kia can perform include cupping, joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, functional movement assessments and corrective exercises specific to each client.

Arabella Shedden

Practice Manager

Keystone of HPC, Bella keeps the wheels turning and chaos at bay. She is passionate about customer service and is here to help.

Bella enjoys cooking (and is amazing), gardening and training with her personal trainer.
